How many posts in a row have I made dedicated to videos off YouTube?

So I found that preview for the music video, then the actual video drops the same day. I can't explain how lucky that was. The video consists of a lot of arcade sequences and even more Star Trak signs. It's also kind of quiet because it's a bootleg off that ignorant show 106 & Park.

This is what Lupe was talking about. Still a big day for me.

I am somewhat disappointed. For some stupid reason, I was hoping the new CRS video would be of a brand new song we hadn't heard of. But in this age of track leaking and album downloading, I shouldn't be surprised. I'll probably never hear a song featuring big names like Lupe, Kanye, and Pharrell when it is meant to first come out. This video is for the CRS Everyone Nose Remix, which I heard for the first time like two months ago. I'm still interested in what these guys will do with this video. The first two N.E.R.D. videos haven't been exactly groundbreaking considering the fact the album is titled Seeing Sounds. Here are some pics courtesy of the BBC/ICE CREAM Blog.

Yeah. Today is kind of a big deal for me.

If what Lupe says is true, and isn't always, The Louie Vouitton Don, Skateboard P, and ..... Lupe (who seriously needs a nickname, like yesterday) are making magic as I type this. I've heard rumors of the group breaking up before it even started, but those were dispelled by CRS' Little Weapon (I'm going to stick with this until he comes up with his own) on Sunday. Wait, wasn't this there first music video? No matter, I'm still pumped.

This got me thinking last night. Nobody ever posts comments on this page. I don't really care. I mean, I hardly ever comment on my favorite blogs (Way More Fresher, Illroots, Hypebeast, Kanye's, Deadspin, etc.). Some bloggers expect comments and I think those people are stupid. I could care less whether you comment on here (trust me, I'm getting to something). Occasionally, though, I'd like to hear what you guys thought. Yes, you. Don't look around, there;s no one else and, yes, I'm pointing at you.

CRS is pretty much a dream come true. I honestly couldn't think of any 3 rappers I'd rather see work together than Pharrell, Kanye, and Lupe. Pharrell for his production, Lupe for his rapping, and Kanye for the sheer fact that he is the most dominant musician in the world (or at least the U.S.A.). This made me think: What three musicians, regardless of genre and era, would I like to hear together.

I decided to put the following 3 men together: Andre 3000, Michael Jackson, and Roger Waters. You obviously know the first two men. As for those that aren't full-out music nerds, Roger Waters was the bassist and sometimes provided the lead vocals for Pink Floyd. He was extremely important in the production of Dark Side of the Moon, one of the most important albums of all time. Dark Side was noted for its breakthrough production with use of synthesizers and putting in sound effects.

Why did I pick these three. I have a "lock-in theory." If you lock these three men in a recording studio, something special will be created. I see Andre killing the verses, Michael Jackson hitting high notes and singing hooks, and Waters doing something special behind the scenes. I didn't choose to many superstars because I fear guys like Jimi Hendrix and Eminem would murder each other if locked in a room together.

Going back to that paragraph about getting comments on this blog, I want to hear what artists you wish you could see together. I'd like to see people go WAY back if possible, maybe throw in some Robert Johnson or Little Richard. The odder, the better.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

This video represents the state of CRS. I have heard rumors that Kanye is accusing Lupe of stealing Yeezy's lines during a CRS recording session. If these rumors are true, the greatest supergroup Hip-Hop has seen might be dead before ever being born. Assuming that 'Ye is, in fact, accusing Lupe of doing him dirty, the group is done. Despite all his greatness, Kanye West is the most insecure musician I have ever heard. CRS has the potential to be amazing, unworldly even. But Kanye is willing to ruin all that because Lupe stole some lines? Come on. Even if Wasalu DID bite, all Yeezy should do is tell him to stop. That's it. It's not like Lupe couldn't come up with something fresh. If Kanye stops CRS because of a tantrum, I will riot. Then, I will proceed to buy Kanye's next album. That's how good the dude is.

Oh, and there is a CRS remix floating around on the net. I'm not going to put it up here because you can find it practically everywhere else.

Albums to look for in '08- Part 2

Now that i've talked about my favorite up-and-comers for the year, its time to get into the hip-hop heavyweights. Last year was a little disappointing, with only a few albums worth your money, but '08 is definitely looking good.

Lose Sleep Anticipating:

Tha Carter III by Lil Wayne- The master of the mixtape and self-proclaimed king of hip-hop finally comes out with a new studio album. Last year, the music game really was Wayne's World as he was featured in almost every song on the radio. Now its time for him to make some real money. How good is Wayne? Dude's whole album was leaked onto the internet so he made a new cd like it was nothing. He's keepin all his songs underwraps for now so I dont know whats gonna be on it, but I guarantee it will be nasty. Tha Carter III drops February 15th.

N*R*3*D by N.E.R.D.- Pharrell and Chad's funk band is back. For some, thats a big deal. For others, who gives a F*%K? Im on the side of those celebrating because, well, im all over Pharrell's cock, no homo. I love everything he does and you can believe I'll be buying the album the day it comes out (no official date yet, sometime in the spring). The group promises to go back to its roots. This means, musically, the album will be all over the place. I'll keep you posted as songs start to drop. For now, here is N.E.R.D.'s debut album, In Search Of...


N****r by Nas- I dont feel comfortable with Nas' new album name. I know that since I'm white, I am not allowed to have an opinion on these issues, but, if I did, I would think its retarded. The N-word is not like calling a white man a cracker, as much as Nas wants it to be. I dont know any white person that gets offended by cracker, but i know A LOT of black people that get offended by the N****r. Now, onto the music. Despite his last album's failure, Nas is still the man who made Illmatic so I have faith in the man. I think Nas is gonna drop a gem with this one. It comes out in February.


The Greatest Story Never Told by Saigon- The dude who became popular when he got signed by Turtle on Entourage is a real rapper. And despite his threats to quit the business, his long awaited debut album is gonna be hot. Fire hot. He can spit it as good as anyone i've heard outside of Lupe and his cd is handled completely by Just Blaze. To get the Come on Baby remix featuring HOVA and Swizz Beats, click here. Unnamed Gnarles Barkley Project- Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo are set to return this Spring and they promise to improve on the success of St. Elsewhere. In interviews, Cee-Lo has stated that the album is, "pretty damn good. What else can I say?" If you ever get a chance check out the duo live in concert:

Rising Down by The Roots- One of the best hip-hop groups of all time will return in April according to ?uestlove. One of the first and only groups to utilize live instruments, I really love The Roots and can't wait to see what they've got cookin. Here is a little classic Roots to tide you over.

CRS- If it happens, it'll be the biggest album of the year, hands down. Lupe is a genius and lyrically the best rapper in the game, Pharrell is the best producer money can buy, and Kanye is the best overall musician in hip-hop. Put it together and create a rapper's delight (i know its corny, but im just so excited). When US Placers debuted, I was happy but I knew the song only realized about half the groups' potential. Its like having Kobe, LeBron, and D-Wade on your team. All other rappers are gonna get destroyed.

Christmas For Everyone!

So its Christmas morning and I just opened up some sick ish (Big Ups to my bro for gettin a bape shirt from London for me). Anyways, I was thinkin there are certain people that need some specific gifts this year so I created a list of what I am getting them.

Nick Saban- my American History textbook. Nick, when you look for it, count how many times it mentions a football game. It mentions Pearl Harbor and 9/11, but where is Alabama's loss to Louisiana Monroe?

Lupe Fiasco- some major exposure. Food & Liquor was the best album of 06, The Cool was the best album of 07. So where are the grammys and sports cars?

Midget Mac- a spin off reality show on VH1. This is kind of a gift for everyone. I'd love to see the biggest G from I Love New York get what he truly deserves. What sexy lady wouldn't want to spend time Jacksonville's most eligible bachelor?

Jaime Lynn Spears- birth control. Because, well, your gonna get pregnant again.

Mike Vick- All Dogs Go To Heaven on DVD. No explanation needed here.

Common- bowflex. Unlike most rappers, your not a little guy so im not sayin your weak. Its just that I heard you were dating Serena Williams. You dont wanna be the guy who is weaker than his girlfriend, do you?

50 cent- some credibility. When you lost to Kanye, you lost your edge. You need to hook up with some good producers (Hi-Tek, Timba, Neptunes maybe?) and better material (I get it. You got shot 9 times. Cool.). The fact that G-Unit signed Michael Jackson doesn't help.

Greg Oden- high quality medical insurance. You missed a lot of your freshmen year and your whole rookie season with injury. Are you sure your only 20?

Tom Cruise- a good script. Most people would suggest some crazy pills or some perspective, but I remember when you were a great actor. Lions for Lambs, Mission Impossible 3, and War of the Worlds doesn't compare to films like Born on the 4th of July, Top Gun, and Jerry Maguire.

CRS- time to make an album. This is for everyone. Lupe has to promote The Cool, Pharrell is making a N.E.R.D. album, and Kanye is busy being a genius. I cant wait till they can come together to create the biggest album of 08.
