His much prolonged self-titled album is set to drop February 10th. We here at the Boogie-especially myself-can't wait to see what the future has in store for the Harvard grad.
If you're one of the many individuals who have no clue as to who the man pictured above is, check out his page where you can find the first three records off the album and other bits of knowledge for your viewing pleasure.
I've been following Leslie for a minute now, so for me its like when Bron-Bron entered the League in '03: all that hype without even dropping an album (or stepping on the hardwood, for LJ23) and yet one of the most prominent producers/artists in the game.
After all, I'm pretty sure that Lebron dude lived up to the hype...
For the few people who actually listen to this super-producer, songwriter, and musician, he has indeed pushed his self-titled album back to February due to one simple reason: lack of exposure. I find this hard to believe, because this Harvard graduate is one of the most talented artists of our time (dude only plays like 25 instruments!) and could surely make a landmark in the mainstream game that all of us here at The Boogie know and love. He's already done it while producing the likes of Britney, Cassie, New Edition, and many others. Check out this video of the re-making of a dope track titled "Just Right" he recently posted on RyanLeslieTV about 42 hours ago. Frankly, if you haven't heard of RL by yet, shame on you. He puts all contemporary producers in their place-sorry David Banner, Soulja Boy, JD, Scott Storch-and if you aren't inspired by watching the man at work, then you are HEARTLESS (Damn, Kanye). Anyways become a fan of Leslie before he takes over the planet and don't say I didn't tell you so.
Finally, the moment I'VE been waiting for. The genius/mastermind that is Ryan Leslie has decided to come out from behind the boards and get a well-deserved taste of the lime-light. Talk about unselfish, Leslie (who went to college at the age of 15!) put his solo career on hold to work with the ever "talented" Cassie on her album. The super-producer brought you club bangers like "Me & U" and also has leaked a new single featuring Cassie, "Addiction," which is fire. Dude has definitely started out with a bang, with his first single entitled "Diamond Girl." I'm not quite sure how long this vid has been out in the airwaves, but here it is for your viewing pleasure:
