Congratulations to Kobe Bean Bryant and his puppets... I mean teammates.

You did it Kobe, you finally got that 7'1 monkey off your back. It only took a giant Spanish man, a streaky 3/4 who almost got dealt for Jermaine O Neal last season and Trevor Ariza to push your Los Angeles Lakers squad over the top.

I'm not trying to rip your achievement, Kobe, don't worry about that, but what I am trying to say is cherish this ring because it might be your last. Same goes for you, Mr. Jackson.

The competition in the NBA has arrived. It comes in forms of royalty, superheroes and guys chosen after Darko. The East is something to be reckoned with again, we (in reference to me being a Nets fan) aren't the JV league anymore. The talent pool in both conferences is deeper than ever, and we all know what 2010 might bring.

Kobe, I think you've got one season left before your venom is rendered sterile and the Black Mamba goes out of commission. Let the rumors swirl about how happy you may be in LA, maybe a change of scenery will do you good.

I'll throw this out there, too: you may want to try and keep Bynum healthy, because a certain big man you may be familiar with might just make one last stop in Cleveland to help that other puppet win a ring next year.

Anywho, congratulations to the 2008-09 Los Angeles Lakers on a tremendous season and terrific run to the championship... maybe Adam Morrison can be creepy on the court for you next time.

Say it Ain't So, Mo(Town)

It's final. The once-journey man-who seemed to have finally found a home in the Motor City- has been dealt away in a blockbuster for practice enthusiast A.I. The move came as a suprise to many, especially myself who returned home from school in the midst of the finalization of this blockbuster. The transaction also involved Dice and my sleeper/overlooked piece of the deal, Cheikh Samb(somewhere Manute Bol is smiling), for their respective Detroit Squad. Do I honestly think the Pistons are guaranteed the East with Iverson running the show? No. Iverson has been frontin' with that "pass-first mentality" and thats just not him. What the Piston's needed was a true PG-better yet, what 92% of all NBA teams need-and that exactly what the Nuggets got. With Mr. Big Shot runnning the point and my man Samb getting a chance to shine, which is highly unlikely, the Nuggs have me pole-jocking early as the team to compete with L.A. in the West
