UMC dropped today.

Am I gona front and say it surpassed the 2nd best album of '07-next to The Cool-and possibly Be? Not a chance. But if you're looking for some club bangers, Com and the Neps got you.
Back to the evaluation: this CD gets 3.25 mics from me; nice but not too nice. I mean, if this record was put out by someone like, lets say, Africa Bambaataa, then maybe I'd be feeling it a little more. Frankly, this isn't the raw Common Sense we're-or at least i am-used to, and Common tends to seem like an average MC in songs like Sex 4 Sugar and Announcement (yea, sorry) due to lack of lyrical creativity. That is something I've never thought I'd say.

Anyway to stray away from the negative aspects of the album, Common does indeed find 'The Light' in songs like Gladiator and 'What a World' (Waddup CF!). The rest you'll have to peep for yourself.

Go cop the album! I still think its worth a purchase and your time-its only 10 tracks.

'Ye vs. The...

'Ye posted this up on his blog today. The title 'Ye vs the Volcano has been floating around the airwaves for a minute, and Mr. West has finally confirmed it-sort of. Kanye has big plans for this tour-as is depicted in his in depth blueprint-and wants to perform in the round, or do it in the middle of the arena. Go figure.



Where did he draw the inspiration for the tour, you ask?

Won't Trade

In case you haven't noticed (because everyone watches the first 20 or so NBA games religously, right?) Flash is back. Watch the clip above and don't tell me that first play wasn't Jordanesque.

Just incase you forgot, Dwayne was sidelined for almost half the season last year, and although he looked good in suits on the sidelines, the Heat's season could be compared to many of Craig Sager's catastrophic wardrobes. Yeah, that bad.

This season D is back like he never left, maybe even better. The face of Converse/Hexpad/Miami is leading the league in scoring, over the King, and is droppin' nearly 8 dimes a game. The performance he has displayed through only 18 games has 89% mitigated my pain-we let J-Will go- from last year, and it'll only get better. That's why I'm going out on a limb NOW and proclaiming Dwayne Wade this years MVP. Call me biased-being I'm from the Miami area-but without number 3 on the court, we'd be lucky break the double-digit mark in the W column, let alone fill up those eye popping orange and red seats.

BTW, the reason for I titled this post 'Won't Trade' is because I'm almost positive that that is the voice of Flash in the last bit of Tip's joint. If anyone out there knows, drop some knowledge on me.

To be honest, kind of a humdrum video. It is kind of cool, though, because I've seen the videos of him shooting it. Other than that, he is not on Ye-status when it comes to creative videos.

Can't wait for the Back to the Feature mixtape. Then, it's off to the studio album I hope.
